Art/Architecture was held in August, 2009 at the AIA New Orleans Center for Design, and was curated by Melissa Urcan, President/CEO LERATA. These works by local architects emphasized the process and methods by which design ideas are investigated and refined.
A wide array of designs and artworks, including photography, drawings, furniture, sculpture, physical models, and other means of creative exploration were selected for the exhibit. Overall the exhibit aimed to make visible the architect and designers process.
Participants included Dennis Brady, Brad Brooks, Billes Architecture, Concordia, LLC, Ammar Eloueini, HMS Architects, Holly & Smith Architects, NANO and more.
The Art/Architecture was the first exhibit at AIANew OrleansCenter for Design, the only dedicated architecture and design exhibition space in the state of Louisiana.
